All parents expect certain things from their children. Parents often have different expectations of their sons and daughters. Think about your own parents. What are their expectations of you as a girl or boy? How would those expectations be different if you were a different sex? How are your parents’ expectations different for boys or girls in your family? If you are an only child, imagine how your parents’ expectations might be different if you had a sibling of the opposite sex.

I love my parents, they're the best , more importantly, they love me really much, so it's normal if they have some certain expectations for me. With me, I think one of the first things will be, as the first child, I need to be a truly, big sister, like be nice with my little sister so she will copy and learn the right things. For example, I need to eat all the food I have on my plate so then when she saw that, she will repeat it by eating all of her food for the meal . The next one is i must listen to my parents all the time because most of the stuffs they told me were right and it's good for me. They also hope that I could be myself and be brave. In the other hand, they also want me to be happy and enjoy my days when I'm still a kid. So it's hard sometimes to make my parents feel great but if I could, I would do it because I love them very much, more importantly, they said that they always proud of me, and glad that I was born.

My parents expected me as whichever I was born. They thought that I was a boy while I was in my mother. But If I were a boy ,my parents grow up me to become strong and gentle guy. My mother wants to have a boy who is older than me and kind and gentle.Because I am not too kind to my mom that she is satisfied. But it is just a joke which my mom sometimes said. They want their children to be healthy.

My parents expect from me, being a good girl and having good grades. They want me to be myself. And do the things the way I want. Doing the right things. And being happy. If I were a boy they would expect almost the same things from me. They would want me to be kind and having good grades and also respecting the girls. Treating them the way they deserve to. I have a little brother and I can't see so many differences the way we're treated. My parents expect more from me than from my brother because I'm older and not because I'm a girl an he is a boy.

They weren't going to care if I were a boy or a girl, they were not going to have any problems of taking care of me.
ReplyDeleteMy mother would probably paint my room pink and buy me dolls.
Everybody taught that I would be the only boy in the family but after years my brother was born.
They think she is sensible and whatever we do to her even if we touch her, she gets mad and start crying. *Pedro*
As a girl my parents expect me to do a good job in school, high points in school, and be nice to everyone. They also expect me to respect everyone including olders and youngers, they want me to learn something that could defend myself from being hurt, and study in a good university and have a job that could help people in the future. For a boy because I have one older brother and I am the youngest it almost the same, but they want the boys to learn Marshall art so he can defend himself and others, do more sports, and less playing games. Also like girls my parents expect a boy to study in a good university and have a great job that could help people. That is what my parents expect from a girl and a boy.

As I girl, my parents expected me to be literally girly. For example, being gentle, nice and kind, care about my own health and beauty. But as I grow up, their expectations of course needs to change, more specifically, it got both less and more. When I was young, they wanted to me to be a princess (well, every parents do). But I am now a teen, and they realized I can’t always rely on them or be nice and gentle every time, because I will be facing problems in life as I grow up. So now, as a teen, my parents would want me to be brave, smart and be nice or strong in some situations. The only thing they would always expect from me was being docile, obey them at all times, so that it would be easier for me to deal with problems.
ReplyDeleteAnd if I were a boy, my parents’ expectations would definitely change. I can see that through how they teach my younger brother.
They wanted him to be tough, strong, smart from the very beginning. Of course, boys got more expectations than girls do. So my brother would have to try hard to meet my parents’ expectations. But as a girl, I got no pressure. The only thing they wanted me to be serious on is being docile, like I said. And my brother, too, got that expectation. Not only there are differences in our expectations from our parents, there’s also the difference in how much pressure for us to meet their expectations. Like I said, my parents don’t put much pressure on me for being smart, strong or nice and gentle, they just need me to obey them always. But for my brother, not only he need to docile like I am, my parents want him to be serious on their expectations, since a boy needs to be strong, tough and smart to deal with his own problems, but mostly because those are the qualities of a boy, a man.

My parents wanted me to be a good girl, educate, sympathetic, helpful and I want this for me so my parents can tell me that I'm intelligent .
ReplyDeleteMy dad says I'm really selfless because i like helping homeless people because they don't have nothing to eat so i normally give food, clothes, shoes and other things to them.
I like to do this because in the future I want to be someone that is good for the others and my parents want this for me too.

I think my parents want Me to be happy in my life doing what I like, in this case draw and be animator. But I have a little Brother called Gabriel and I think my parents want the same for him. If I were a girl I don't have sure about what is going to happened, but I think my parents don't care for the gender so I think they would treat me at the same way and the same for my brother.

In my family the only boy is me so parents treasure more than my two sisters. My parents expect me to become the greatest that I could be and that the guy that anyone could rely on and they are encouraged me to become a doctor. However if I were girl my parents would be easier on me and will give me the choice to be whatever I wanted. My parents expectation would be higher for me than my sisters.

As a boy, my parents want certain things from me. They want me to have good grades, make good friends and have a healthy lifestyle. They also want me to be polite and gentle to everyone, especially elders. If I were a girl, I think my parents would want me to know how to cook, do chores and takes care of baby. But in general, I think all parents want their children to stay healthy and live a happy life.

This is the excerpt for your very first post.
There are four children in our family, two boys and two girls. And I think my parents have different expectations of us. The first I will tell about what they expect of me as a girl. I should be smart, respectful for people and helpful. Actually I just should be nice and perfect girl. But all of us know, that there is not idel person in the world. Therefore, I also make mistakes. Fortunately, my parents understand this. And know I want tell about what they expect of my brothers. I think my parents quite strict with my brothers. Because, if they make mistake, parents strongly scold them. But in the most they are kind to them. Anyway my parents are right and I think we should do everything that they expect of us as much as possible.
